Before we actually begin removing your tattoo, we’ll apply a topical anesthetic to reduce your skins sensitivity to the laser pulses. The anesthetic will need to remain on your skin for about 20 minutes. Once the anesthetic has done its work, you will put on protective eyewear and we will begin the laser tattoo removal process. Chilled air will be used during the tattoo removal procedure to minimize discomfort.

To remove your tattoo we use a special kind of laser designed specifically for tattoo removal. The laser we use produces a very narrow beam of light that travels through the outer layers of skin and is absorbed by the tattoo ink. The high-energy light pulses break up the ink without damaging the surrounding tissue. What you will feel is similar in sensation to the pop of a rubber band against your skin.

The tattoo removal treatment time will vary based on the size of the tattoo and the colors being removed. The entire tattoo removal process will take several visits, each visit spaced four to twelve weeks apart. You will gradually see your tattoo fade away over the course of your laser tattoo removal treatments.
